Emissions Test in Solache, Michoacan

Getting it done

CarmaCars works in the Toronto area, about 3,325 km from Solache, and does not do this work itself. The job: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.

How the arrangement works

You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop. A person reads every request and replies with the next step.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept.

Good habits for your car

Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt.
