The job: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. What to send us

Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair. The shop quotes the work itself; we do not add to its price. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins.

Talking to the shop

Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare.

Small things that help

Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them.
