What CarmaCars does here

The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car. Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive. If you already have a shop you trust, we can still rent you a car meanwhile.

Between shop visits

Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell.

What to ask

Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected.
