How the request works

We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job. We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair. The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car.

Talking to the shop

Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon.

Between shop visits

Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old.
