Our part and the shop's part

You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive. Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop.

A short checklist

If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there.

Car care, briefly

Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter.
