Engine Repair in Bend, CA

Getting it done

CarmaCars works in the Toronto area, about 3,530 km from Bend, and does not do this work itself. Plainly: Engine repair, from a leak to a rebuild, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Engine work ranges from a leak to a rebuild; the shop inspects the car and quotes it.

The steps

We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair. The shop quotes the work itself; we do not add to its price. The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car.

Getting a clear quote

Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour.

Small things that help

Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance.
