Engine Repair in Cominto, AR

Getting it done

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Cominto is about 1,559 km away. What it involves: Engine repair, from a leak to a rebuild, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. An engine that runs rough, smokes or overheats needs a look soon.

The steps

Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair. The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work.

Good habits for your car

Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Look at the tire tread before long trips. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour.
