What CarmaCars does here

Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. A person reads every request and replies with the next step. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car. We pass your details to a trusted shop or give you its name, as you prefer.

Talking to the shop

Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history.

Good habits for your car

Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires.
