Who does what

If you already have a shop you trust, we can still rent you a car meanwhile. A person replies within one business day. Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. Give us the make, model and year, and a phone number for the shop to reach you.

Between shop visits

Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow.

Questions to ask the shop

If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon.
