Engine Repair: how we help

What CarmaCars does here

You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. We keep you posted until the shop has the car booked in. We pass your details to a trusted shop or give you its name, as you prefer. Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive.

Small things that help

Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can.

Getting a clear quote

Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour.
