Engine Repair in Maynard

Arranging the work in Maynard

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Maynard is about 313 km away. In short: Engine repair, from a leak to a rebuild, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Engine work ranges from a leak to a rebuild; the shop inspects the car and quotes it.

Our part and the shop's part

If you already have a shop you trust, we can still rent you a car meanwhile. We keep you posted until the shop has the car booked in. The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us.

Getting a clear quote

If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon.

Car care, briefly

Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.
