Engine Repair in Pasadena, CA

Arranging the work in Pasadena

We do not do mechanical work, and we work in the Toronto area, far from Pasadena. What it involves: Engine repair, from a leak to a rebuild, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Engine work ranges from a leak to a rebuild; the shop inspects the car and quotes it.

What we arrange

The shop quotes the work itself; we do not add to its price. Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive. Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare. Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back.

Car care, briefly

Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Check that all lights work every few weeks. Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair.
