Engine Repair in Stonegate, Fields

Arranging the work in Stonegate

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Stonegate is about 350 km away. What this is: Engine repair, from a leak to a rebuild, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Engine work ranges from a leak to a rebuild; the shop inspects the car and quotes it.

Who does what

Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair.

Getting a clear quote

Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice.

Between shop visits

Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter.
