Engine Repair in Yard, TX

Getting it done

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Yard is about 1,969 km away. What this is: Engine repair, from a leak to a rebuild, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Engine work ranges from a leak to a rebuild; the shop inspects the car and quotes it.

The steps

You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. A person replies within one business day. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental.

Good habits for your car

Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Check that all lights work every few weeks.

Getting a clear quote

If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon.
