Mechanic in Downs, OR

Mechanic for Downs

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Downs is about 3,419 km away. Repairs and maintenance by a mechanic at a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Routine maintenance and repairs are done by a mechanic at a shop we trust, not by CarmaCars.

Who does what

The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive. We pass your details to a trusted shop or give you its name, as you prefer. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins.

What to ask

Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree.

Good habits for your car

Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Look at the tire tread before long trips. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring.
