Mechanic in Hellen, MD

Getting it done

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Hellen is about 632 km away. What this is: Repairs and maintenance by a mechanic at a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Routine maintenance and repairs are done by a mechanic at a shop we trust, not by CarmaCars.

From request to repair

Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive. The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair.

Between shop visits

Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up.
