Mechanic in Ishpeming, MI

Arranging the work in Ishpeming

If you need mechanical repairs or maintenance in Ishpeming: CarmaCars does not do this work itself, and our network is around Toronto. What it involves: Repairs and maintenance by a mechanic at a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Regular maintenance keeps small problems from turning into large ones.

Who does what

Tell us when suits you and whether the car can be driven. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins.

What to ask

Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used.

Good habits for your car

Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.

What we cover

We are based in Toronto; Ishpeming is not somewhere we have a location. About 725 km from our location in Toronto, Ishpeming is too far for our delivery area of about 250 km.
