Safety Certificate in Pendleton, NY

Safety Certificate in Pendleton

For a safety certificate, CarmaCars sits in the middle: we arrange the work with a trusted shop and rent you a car while yours is in. What this is: A Safety Standards Certificate, needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy, issued by a licensed Motor Vehicle Inspection Station we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A used car you buy in Ontario needs a Safety Standards Certificate before it can be plated.

How the request works

We keep you posted until the shop has the car booked in. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job. Tell us when suits you and whether the car can be driven.

Stay on the road

Keep commuting, shopping and visiting while your car is at the shop. Keep moving with a rental while your car is at the shop, by the day at our usual rates. There is no charge to collect the car from us yourself.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history.

Good habits for your car

Look at the tire tread before long trips. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter.
