Safety Certificate in Ruby, MS

Arranging the work in Ruby

We do not do mechanical work, and we work in the Toronto area, far from Ruby. The job: A Safety Standards Certificate, needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy, issued by a licensed Motor Vehicle Inspection Station we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Only a licensed inspection station can issue a Safety Standards Certificate in Ontario.

How the arrangement works

If you already have a shop you trust, we can still rent you a car meanwhile. The shop quotes the work itself; we do not add to its price. The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair.

Talking to the shop

If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree.

Good habits for your car

Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter.
