Arranging the work in Appleton

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Appleton is about 1,964 km away. A tow to a shop or to your home, by a towing company we arrange, not by CarmaCars. If you are in danger or blocking traffic, call 911 first. Tell us where the car is, where it should go, and whether the keys are with it.

Our part and the shop's part

A person reads every request and replies with the next step. Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. Your request reaches a person, not a machine. Give us the make, model and year, and a phone number for the shop to reach you.

What to ask

Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour.

Small things that help

Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring.
