Towing in Bard, CA

Arranging the work in Bard

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Bard is about 3,283 km away. The job: A tow to a shop or to your home, by a towing company we arrange, not by CarmaCars. If you are in danger or blocking traffic, call 911 first. Tell us where the car is, where it should go, and whether the keys are with it.

The steps

Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. A person replies within one business day. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us.

Car care, briefly

Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt.

Talking to the shop

Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice.
