Towing in Challenge, CA

Towing in Challenge

We do not do mechanical work, and we work in the Toronto area, far from Challenge. What this is: A tow to a shop or to your home, by a towing company we arrange, not by CarmaCars. If you are in danger or blocking traffic, call 911 first. Once you are safe, send a request with where the car is and where it should go.

How the request works

We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job. If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop. The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. A person reads every request and replies with the next step.

Good habits for your car

Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.

Talking to the shop

Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept.

Honest about distance

To be clear: CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area, not in Challenge. From our location in Toronto, Challenge is about 3,482 km away in a straight line; we deliver within about 250 km.

If the car can come to the Toronto area, we can arrange a trusted shop there. For work in Challenge, ask in a request and we tell you honestly whether we know a shop there. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Challenge if you like. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and the offer shows the tax.
