Arranging the work in Joppa

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Joppa is about 2,187 km away. A tow to a shop or to your home, by a towing company we arrange, not by CarmaCars. If you are in danger or blocking traffic, call 911 first. Tell us where the car is, where it should go, and whether the keys are with it.

The steps

Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive. We pass your details to a trusted shop or give you its name, as you prefer. We can suggest a shop that suits the job and your location.

Good habits for your car

Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for. Check that all lights work every few weeks.

A short checklist

Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it.
