Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours.

Good habits for your car

Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for.
