Towing in Self, AR

Arranging the work in Self

Towing in Self: CarmaCars does not do this work itself and works only in the Toronto area. The job: A tow to a shop or to your home, by a towing company we arrange, not by CarmaCars. If you are in danger or blocking traffic, call 911 first. Tell us where the car is, where it should go, and whether the keys are with it.

The steps

We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair. A person reads every request and replies with the next step. Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car.

What to ask

If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour.

Between shop visits

Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months.
