If the car is blocking traffic, stay safe first and call for help.

What to send us

Give us the make, model and year, and a phone number for the shop to reach you. Tell us when suits you and whether the car can be driven. Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive. A person replies within one business day.

Between shop visits

Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance.

Getting a clear quote

Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it.
