Arranging the work in Barkerville

Wheels aligned so the car drives straight and the tires wear evenly, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. An alignment keeps the car driving straight and the tires wearing evenly.

How the request works

Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare. We pass your details to a trusted shop or give you its name, as you prefer.

Between shop visits

Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Check that all lights work every few weeks.

Getting a clear quote

Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected.

Honest about distance

To be clear: CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area, not in Barkerville. We cover about 250 km around Toronto; at about 1,237 km, Barkerville is outside that.
