Wheel Alignment in Crosbyside, NY

Arranging the work in Crosbyside

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Crosbyside is about 450 km away. What it involves: Wheels aligned so the car drives straight and the tires wear evenly, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A crooked steering wheel on a straight road is a common sign the alignment is off.

The steps

If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop. A person reads every request and replies with the next step. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. If you already have a shop you trust, we can still rent you a car meanwhile.

Small things that help

Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you.
