What to send us

Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare. Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done.

Before the shop starts

Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up.

Car care, briefly

Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Look at the tire tread before long trips. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance.
