Wheel Alignment in Guilds

Getting it done

If you need a wheel alignment in Guilds: CarmaCars does not do this work itself, and our network is around Toronto. The job: Wheels aligned so the car drives straight and the tires wear evenly, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Hitting a pothole hard can knock the wheels out of line.

Who does what

If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop. We can suggest a shop that suits the job and your location. Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back.

Between shop visits

Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them.
