Wheel Alignment in Schenectady, NY

Arranging the work in Schenectady

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Schenectady is about 444 km away. What this is: Wheels aligned so the car drives straight and the tires wear evenly, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A crooked steering wheel on a straight road is a common sign the alignment is off.

How the arrangement works

We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car. If you already have a shop you trust, we can still rent you a car meanwhile. The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive.

What to ask

Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon.

Between shop visits

Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months.
