What CarmaCars does here

You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. Tell us when suits you and whether the car can be driven.

Small things that help

Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance.

Before the shop starts

Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up.
