Buying a car in Access

Shopping for a car in Access? CarmaCars is not a dealer, a lender or a leasing company. We rent cars. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Why rent first

A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads.

Buying smart in Ontario

Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose.

Between cars

Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure. A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing.

The short answer for Access

To be clear: CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area, not in Access. Measured in a straight line, Access is about 694 km from our location in Toronto; we deliver within about 250 km.

For buying in Access, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Access if you like. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, with tax added in the offer.
