Auto Loans: what CarmaCars does

To be upfront: CarmaCars is a rental company and does not sell cars or arrange loans. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Why rent first

A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you. Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel.

Questions to ask

Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit.

Bridging the gap

A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives.

Reach and distance
