Buying a car in Attachie

CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell, lend or lease, but renting first is a smart step before buying. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Drive it like you own it

A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads.

A buyer's checklist

In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand.

Between cars

Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal.
