Auto Loans: what CarmaCars does

Shopping for a car in Baker? CarmaCars is not a dealer, a lender or a leasing company. We rent cars. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Rent it before you buy it

A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you. If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign.

Checks worth doing

Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy.

Bridging the gap

Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale.

Before you plan

There is no CarmaCars office, lot or branch in Baker. Measured in a straight line, Baker is about 1,308 km from central Toronto; we deliver within about 80 km.
