Shopping for a car in Bear Camp

There is nothing for sale here as a rule: CarmaCars rents cars. Here is how that helps when you shop. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Rent it before you buy it

Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide.

Questions to ask

Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy.

Bridging the gap

Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure.
