Buying a car in Bear

Here is the honest answer for buyers: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Rent it before you buy it

Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you.

Before you sign

Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand.

While you shop

If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars.

Where we deliver

Our only location is in Toronto; Bear is outside the area we serve. We deliver within about 250 km of Toronto. Bear, about 2,999 km away, is beyond that.

For buying in Bear, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Bear if you like. Every price here is in Canadian dollars.
