Shopping for a car in Bemis

CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area. We are not a dealership, and we do not arrange loans or leases. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Drive it like you own it

Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits. Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you.

Before you sign

Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand.

Between cars

Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal.
