Shopping for a car in Berkey

CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell, lend or lease, but renting first is a smart step before buying. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Try it for a week first

Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads.

Questions to ask

Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes.

A car meanwhile

Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing.

What we cover

CarmaCars is not in Berkey. Our one location is in Toronto. About 437 km from our location in Toronto, Berkey is too far for our delivery area of about 250 km.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Send a request about Berkey, and we reply with a clear yes or no. Every price here is in Canadian dollars.
