Shopping for a car in Bern

Here is the honest answer for buyers: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Rent it before you buy it

Try the car with the people who will ride in it most. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car?

A buyer's checklist

Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy.

Bridging the gap

Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives.
