Shopping for a car in Bluffton

Looking to buy? CarmaCars rents cars instead, which makes a test week easy. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

A test drive that lasts

A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car?

Checks worth doing

Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired.

While you shop

Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive.
