Buying a car in Boardman

CarmaCars is not where you buy a car, but it can be where you try one first. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Drive it like you own it

Try the car with the people who will ride in it most. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other.

Buying smart in Ontario

Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price.

Between cars

Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure.
