Buying a car in Bristol

CarmaCars does not sell cars. We rent them, which makes us a good place to try a model before you buy. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Try it for a week first

Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you. Try the car with the people who will ride in it most.

Checks worth doing

Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit.

A car meanwhile

You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week.

Honest about Bristol

CarmaCars is not in Bristol. Our one location is in Toronto. Our delivery area ends about 250 km from Toronto, and Bristol is about 1,472 km out.

If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. For buying in Bristol, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. Ask us about Bristol in a request; a person answers honestly. All prices are in Canadian dollars.
