Shopping for a car in Brittingham

CarmaCars is a rental company, so we do not sell cars; renting one first is how we help buyers. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Try it for a week first

A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits. Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing.

What to check before you buy

Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package.

Bridging the gap

If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure.

Before you plan

Everything CarmaCars does starts from Toronto, and we have no presence in Brittingham. At about 2,968 km from our location in Toronto, Brittingham is past the 250 km our delivery covers.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. For buying in Brittingham, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. Need something in Brittingham?
