Buying a car in Bumble Bee

CarmaCars does not sell cars. We rent them, which makes us a good place to try a model before you buy. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Drive it like you own it

Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes.

What to check before you buy

Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package.

Between cars

A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives.
