Buying a car in Burtons

CarmaCars does not sell cars or arrange loans; we rent cars, which helps when you are deciding. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Try it for a week first

Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign.

Checks worth doing

Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts.

Bridging the gap

Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars. Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date.

For buying in Burtons, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Ask us about Burtons in a request; a person answers honestly. Prices on this site are in Canadian dollars.
