Buying a car in Byron

CarmaCars is a rental company, so we do not sell cars; renting one first is how we help buyers. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Why rent first

You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags.

Questions to ask

Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts.

Bridging the gap

Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it.
