Shopping for a car in Cache Lake

CarmaCars does not sell cars or arrange loans; we rent cars, which helps when you are deciding. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Try it for a week first

Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you.

Questions to ask

Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose.

Before your next car arrives

Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date.
