Buying a car in Calhoun

There is nothing for sale here as a rule: CarmaCars rents cars. Here is how that helps when you shop. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Drive it like you own it

Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel.

What to check before you buy

In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired.

A car meanwhile

Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive.

Where we deliver

We are based in Toronto; Calhoun is not somewhere we have a location. We do not deliver as far as Calhoun, about 1,401 km from our location in Toronto.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Unsure? Send a request about Calhoun, and we answer plainly. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
